Frozen shoulder is a condition often diagnosed when someone experiences ongoing shoulder stiffness and pain that lasts at least several weeks at a time. Most people develop frozen shoulder in stages and experience persistent muscle or joint pain, along with stiffness, for several months or more.

A natural approach to treat frozen shoulder involves practicing some homeremedies, targeted exercise or physiotherapy and dietary tips. Some of these suggestions are:

Home Remedies:
• Apply a paste of Turmeric on the frozen shoulder twice a day.
• Put 2 to 3 cloves of Garlic in a little mustard oil, boil it, allow this to cool and apply this oil to the shoulder, 2 times a day.
• Gentle massage of coconut oil is also advisable.

Dietary Tips:
• Consume Fish Oil.
• Take foods rich in calcium like Beans, soup of Barley, Sprouts, Soup cooked with seaweed.
• Take green vegetables in diet.
• Consume Vegetable Oil, in moderate quantity, as this will help to lubricate the joints.

Exercises:
• Do heat or cold therapy. Try a hot compress or heating pad for 15 minutes several times daily, or else apply an ice pack to the shoulder for 15 minutes, several times daily.
• Do some stretching exercises. These will help to increase the movements of the arm.
• Soak a cotton towel in hot water. Then cover the shoulder with this towel for about 5 to 10 minutes.
